Oncology Ambulatory Care Nurse

Clinical Nurse IThe Clinical Nurse I (CN I -registered nurse) promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; The RN utilizes knowledge derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate culturally based and age specific patient care. The RN incorporates the principles of the ANCC Synergy Model for patient care to drive nursing practice, resulting in optimum outcomes for the patient.Associate's Degree - Nursing.Preferred: Bachelor's Degree - Nursing.Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio. Minimum Required: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred and 1 year oncology preferred.Involves family/guardian in the assessment, initial treatment and continuing care of the patient. Recognizes and responds appropriately to patients/families with behavioral health problems. Interprets population related data and plans care appropriately. Identifies and responds appropriately to different needs resulting from, unique psychological needs or those associated with religious / cultural norms. Performs treatments, administers medication or operates equipment safely. Clinical JudgmentClinical reasoning coupled with nursing skills acquired through experiential knowledge and evidence-based guidelines. Collects basic level data Follows protocols with all populations and does not deviate from them. CollaborationWorks with others (e.g. patients, care providers) to encourage each person's contribution toward achieving optimal patient goals.
