Please apply directly through our Career Site at careers.ResponsibilitiesYou will conduct the following responsibilities upholding Tarian's commitment to safety and security while supporting the values and culture of the client and community.Our Healthcare Security Officers are responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the hospital, its staff, and its patients and visitors -- and serve as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on hospital property. Our Security Officers also provide supervision for at-risk patients in the hospital environment.QualificationsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCECompleted High School Diploma or GEDMust be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certificationsStrong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusMust be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to 80 lbs., help restrain or lift a personValid driver's license and ability to meet Tarian driving guidelines if applicable (for Driving Roles).Desired Qualification of the Security Officer:Previous work experience with the public in a service settingEmployment Verification For applicable roles, previous employment must be verified through our background vendor. Armed (Handgun) Qualifications:At least 21 years of ageAbility to obtain and maintain any applicable local or state license or permit to carry a weapon.Ability to pass the initial and semi-annual Tarian approved firearms training course to demonstrate proficiency in use of firearm.Ability to participate and meet the requirements of additional firearms training at the discretion of the firearms instructor.Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of the Tarian policies.Ability to obtain and maintain any applicable local or state license or permit to carry a Taser.Ability to participate in and pass additional Taser training at the discretion of the Taser instructorand/or Tarian.Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of Tarian's Conducted Energy Weapon (TASER), Tarian's Taser Policy.PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENTWork hours will vary depending on assignments, client schedules, project deadlines, and the needs of the company.
