Position Full-Time Retail Sales Associate

$10.00 to $14.00 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $3.09 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and much more.

The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage, PLUS commission based on productivity. Responsibilities Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.

Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.

Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.

Handles cash and negotiable items per policies and regulatory requirements.

Effectively communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions.

Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers and works to create a positive customer experience.

Completes assigned training and other related duties as needed.

Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.

Employees may assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.

Minimum Age: 18 years old.

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.

Cash handling experience is preferred.

Must have the ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Computer literate and able to operate POS systems.

Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on gross profit from personal performance. Pay rates will not be below applicable local minimum wage requirements.
