Dean of Nursing
The Dean of Nursing serves as the senior academic leader for the nursing program and is responsible for the strategic, operational, and educational success of the department. This position provides leadership to nursing faculty and staff, ensures regulatory compliance and accreditation standards are met, drives student success initiatives, and supports campus growth through effective management of academic resources.

This is an on-site, student-facing leadership role.

Academic Leadership & Program Management

Provide strategic leadership for nursing programs and academic operations.

Develop and implement short- and long-term plans that support program growth and student success.

Support the development, evaluation, and expansion of academic programs.

Ensure instructional quality through regular program reviews, audits, and assessment activities.

Accreditation, Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

Lead efforts related to accreditation, regulatory compliance, and state board requirements.

Ensure policies, procedures, and academic practices align with applicable regulations and industry standards.

Serve as a resource and advisor regarding accreditation requirements and compliance initiatives.

Faculty Leadership & Development

Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain high-quality nursing faculty and academic leaders.

Provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.

Support succession planning and leadership development within the department.

Monitor and improve key performance indicators, including:

Graduation rates

Support academic and non-academic initiatives designed to maximize student success.

Operational & Financial Leadership

Provide sound business and operational leadership to faculty and staff.

Support enrollment growth, transfer initiatives, and student support services.

Required Education

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher from an accredited institution.

Demonstrated experience in nursing education, administration, and clinical practice.

Experience managing faculty, academic programs, or healthcare education operations.

Knowledge of accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and nursing program compliance.

Travel

Occasional travel may be required to support clinical partnerships and program-related activities.
