This role focuses on safely and efficiently handling materials in a fast-paced shipping and receiving department. You will primarily operate a sit-down propane forklift to load and unload semi-trailers, move inventory, and support accurate labeling and documentation across multiple shifts.
Operate a sit-down propane forklift safely and efficiently for the majority of the shift.
Load and unload semi-trailers with a focus on accuracy, safety, and care for materials.
Handle materials throughout the shipping and receiving department, including staging, organizing, and transporting products.
Support shipping and receiving activities by moving incoming and outgoing freight to designated areas.
Assist with labeling materials and products to ensure proper identification and traceability.
Help maintain accurate inventory by moving and placing items in the correct locations as directed.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating equipment and working in the facility.
Inspect forklift and related equipment before use and report any issues or concerns.
Work collaboratively with team members to meet shipping, receiving, and production schedules.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in the shipping and receiving department.
Forklift certification is preferred.
Experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
Familiarity with inventory handling and warehouse organization.
