Maintenance Electrician I- Full time

Miller Electric: The Journey-level Electrician is an electrical craftsman that performs a wide range of skills including installation of complex electrical systems, troubleshooting, repair, demolition, maintenance, layout, cleanup, remodel or other related activities in a safe manner. These activities are safely performed in a variety of settings including construction, existing facilities, roadways, industrial, healthcare, service, commercial, governmental and other facets of the electrical industry. Anyone who can document 4 years of experience in electrical construction.

Performs work required for the repair, maintenance, installation, and modernization of electrical systems for buildings, equipment and grounds.

Locates and determines electrical malfunctions using test equipment.

Tests electrical equipment, such as motors, heaters, and controls for safety and efficiency, using standard test equipment and by observing functions.

Installs fixtures, wiring conduits, motors, and other electrical equipment.

Knowledge of security and fire alarm systems.

Using heavy equipment

Have minimum 1,200 field hours that are documented and verifiable on a commercial job site.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Thorough knowledge of the electrical trade.

Requires initiative and ingenuity to analyze a situation and to make frequent technical decisions based on specifications and electrical codes.
