Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for Experienced Labor & Delivery RN!
Job Description:

• Join our dynamic team with a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience !
• First-time travelers welcome!
• EPIC experience required .
• Work 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights).
• Mandatory on-call shifts-2 times per month in addition to your 3 scheduled shifts.
• Flexibility to float to Perinatal if needed.
• Potential to be placed on call if RN is not required for scheduled shift.

Unit Details:

• 4 Triage rooms
• 11 Labor and Delivery Rooms
• 2 Operating Rooms
• NICU & Post-Partum units.
• 24/7 support from OB hospitalists & OB anesthesia.
• Experience with low and high-risk labor & delivery patients.

Patient Population:

• Neonates
• Adolescents
• Adults

Required Skills:

• Proficient in the use of External Fetal Monitoring .
• Skilled in the recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns .
• Experience circulating for C-sections .

Unit Systems:

- SBAR

• Omnicell
• eMD Allscripts

Required Certifications:

- AHA BLS

- ACLS

- NRP

- AWHONN Advanced Additional Information:

- RTO requirements:

• Must include RTO with submission.
• No RTO during the first two weeks.
• Maximum of 3 days RTO.
• One holiday RTO submission allowed but not guaranteed approval.
• Must work most holidays.
• Active California license required at submission.
• References and required certifications must be included.
• Local candidates accepted at the travel rate.
• Return staff reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Pre-Start Requirements:

- Testing:

• EKG Exam & Advanced EKG exam required.
• Two attempts allowed, with at least 80% minimum passing score .
• Onsite exam includes 20 questions (17 rhythm strips, 3 general questions) with a 45-minute time limit .
• Failure results in assignment cancellation.
• Modules required prior to start; completion tracked via transcripts.
