We’re looking for QMAs with a compassionate mindset and a passion for helping seniors. A self-starter with enthusiasm and initiative. This team member loves caring for patients and knows how to develop lasting trust. Could this be you?
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
- Monitor vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse rate.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Provide emotional support to patients and families.
- Educate patients and families about health care maintenance.
- Observe and report changes in the patient's condition to the supervising nurse.
- Assist with geriatric care needs.
Qualifications:
- Must be certified as a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) by the state.
- Preference for Insulin Certified
- Must have no finding in the registry concerning abuse, neglect, or misappropriation of resident property.
- Skilled at tackling numerous tasks and making quick decisions.
- Can foster good resident and family relationships.
- Ability to effectively collaborate within a team environment.
- A passion for working with elderly residents.
- Experience in a long-term or assisted living facility is a plus, but not required.
