Unit Specifics:

• Unit staffing description- RNs.
• Type of equipment : i-mobile phones for each care team member, Mobile computer workstation on wheels, mobilab for lab drawers, alaris iv pumps
• 3 - 12 hour shifts per week to include every other weekend
• Floating policy: Any traveler could be sent to the emergency department to care for inpatients holds. Could be floated in work in the telemetry monitoring room or PCU.
• Bedside shift report is our method of patient hand off, AIDET and RN/MD rounding

Hospital Specifics-
· Requested Skill Set: One previous successful travel nursing assignment, 30 months RN or LPN nursing experience

Ability to care for 6 Telemetry patients/ post cardiac procedures to include: Proficient in reading telemetry strips. Time management to include plans of care every shift, collaboration with physicians and ancillary departments. Phlebotomy

• Nurses administer breathing treatments outside of the ICU (Respiratory treatments: inhalers and nebulizers)
• Foley Catheter care and maintenance (with nurse driven protocols for removal)
• Telemetry and Post Cath Lab patients
