Neuropsychologist - Full or Part Time
$115k - $150kThe Center for Connection
Tina Payne Bryson, is hiring a pediatric or lifespan clinical neuropsychologist to join our flagship Pasadena office. Dan Siegel) of The Whole-Brain Child and No-Drama Discipline, has helped bring the principles of Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) to a wide audience of parents and professionals alike. The Center for Connection is built on this framework, offering clinicians the opportunity to practice within a relational, neurobiologically informed model, with ongoing opportunities for consultation, training, and collaboration with Dr. You will provide comprehensive neuropsychological care to early childhood and school-age clients (specifically ages 3-18), with the option to see adults as well. By collecting highly skilled professionals in various fields (including neuropsychology, mental health, speech and language, occupational therapy, and educational therapy) and offering them all in one location, we greatly improve the overall quality of care of each client, while significantly reducing the stress and anxiety on the individual and family. This integrated approach allows clinicians to develop thoughtful, holistic interventions that prioritize connection, regulation, participation, and each child's unique developmental profile.
As a clinical neuropsychologist on the team, you will join a group that currently has two neuropsychologists and is looking to add one more. You will provide expert care to a diverse population of pediatric and young adult clients. You will support children and families within a holistic care framework, provide parent/caregiver consultation, and collaborate closely with other professionals and educational teams involved in each child's care.
This is a full-time position, though flexible hours, setting your own schedule, and part-time options are available.
Conduct clinical neuropsychological evaluations, treatment, consultation, and caregiver coaching services for pediatric clients.
Develop individualized recommendation plans integrating neuropsychological domains of intellectual functioning, attention, learning, memory, executive functioning, fine motor skills, sensory processing, emotional regulation, social participation, adaptive living skills, and participation across home, school, and community environments.
Utilize relationship-based, neurodiversity-affirming, and strengths-based approaches that honor each child's unique developmental profile while promoting regulation, engagement, autonomy, and meaningful participation.
Collaborate closely with mental health therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, educational therapists, psychologists, physicians, educators, and other community providers.
Provide consultation and support to parents and caregivers to strengthen their understanding of their child's neurodevelopmental needs.
Attendance at weekly strategy/training/case management meetings on Mondays (from 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm). Each member of the team brings with them their own areas of expertise (educational therapists, neuropsychologists, clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists, psychotherapists, etc.), Maintain administrative responsibility for your clinical practice, including the ability to manage client billing, records, and revenue reporting via Therapy Notes (training available upon hire).
Facilitate connections in the community among other professionals, agencies, and schools.
Provide caregiver coaching and consultation that helps families better understand neurodevelopment, neurodivergence, emotional well-being, and how the family system plays a role in their child’s needs.
Support children and families navigating profiles of autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, learning differences, anxiety, depression, trauma, and co-occurring developmental challenges.
Contribute to a neurodiversity-affirming culture that values accessibility, inclusion, and strengths-based support.
Hold a PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology or Neuropsychology, with doctoral training and internship at APA-accredited programs, with 2-years of specialized post-doctoral training in pediatric or lifespan clinical neuropsychology in a fellowship that adheres to Houston Conference Guidelines.
- Be fully licensed (or license-eligible) as a Clinical Psychologist in the State of California.
- Demonstrate experience providing comprehensive and in-depth neuropsychological evaluations working with children, adolescents (ages 3-18), and families across a range of developmental profiles and support needs, with specific experience with school-aged children.
- Have a strong foundation in neurodevelopment, and understand the role of sensory processing, sensory integration, and family systems in children and families we serve.
- Demonstrate skill in caregiver coaching and partnering with families to address challenges across home, school, and community settings.
- Experience supporting children with sensory processing differences, emotional and behavioral challenges, executive functioning difficulties, learning differences, developmental delays, complex medical histories, trauma histories, anxiety, depression, and co-occurring diagnoses.
- Experience collaborating with educational teams (both public and private) and navigating school-based systems, including participating in the IEP/Student Support process, accommodations, and supports, is highly valued.
- Interest in and enthusiasm for working in a collaborative environment that emphasizes a holistic, team approach to mental health and well-being, valuing reflective consultation.
- Demonstrate a personal and professional commitment to justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, accessibility, and neurodiversity-affirming care.
- Candidates who can offer bilingual services are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Most full-time neuropsychologists can expect beginning total annual compensation in the range of $115,000–$150,000+, depending on caseload, evaluation volume, etc. Flexible hours, setting your own schedule, with part-time options available.
- Comfortable and personalized office space in Pasadena, CA.
- Continued training and support from Dr. Annual continuing education and materials funds.
- Employee benefits, including medical, disability, and life insurance.
- Optional) Opportunity to provide therapy, parenting support, facilitate group sessions for kids, parents, educators, and/or professionals.
- We're hiring immediately for the right candidate — though we have flexibility, too. The Center for Connection is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer committed to diversity and equity. As we promote connection among individuals and groups, we also celebrate differences and are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. The more inclusive we are, the better we can serve our community.
