Medicare Registered Nurse (RN) Part-Time

Job Description
BioLife Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd., is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. The role reports to the Plasma Center Manager and assists in maintaining donor eligibility, medical safety, and compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, AIDS education, and self‑exclusion procedures.

Interview donors, review medical history, and conduct physical examinations.

Perform blood testing and review serological protein electrophoresis results.

Respond to donor reactions in accordance with SOPs, including emergencies and transporting to medical care.

Document and report donor adverse events and unsuitable test results.

Support physician and medical affairs with medical findings and guidance.

Coordinate and support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.

Manage employee incidents, coordinate occupational health evaluations, and follow EHS guidance.

Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and assist with investigations of pandemic‑related threats.

Qualifications

High school diploma or recognized nursing program with state licensure.

Current RN, NP, or PA license in the state of assignment.

Current CPR and AED certification.

State‑required basic IV therapy proficiency.

Completed FDA‑approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.

Minimum of two years clinical or hospital experience.

Compensation & Location
Location: Columbus, OH (Bethel Rd). U.S. hourly wage range: $33.44 - $45.98. Eligible for short‑term incentives and benefits such as 401(k) with company match, sick leave, vacation, volunteer time off, and more.
