Electrical Engineering Manage

Serve as Engineering’s lithium-ion battery subject matter expert, responsible for cell selection, testing, modeling, and Battery Management System (BMS) algorithm development. Responsibilities include defining cell requirements, test programs, data analysis workflows, model development, and SoX algorithms. Reports to a Chief Engineer, Project Leader, or Group Leader with minimal supervision.

Own electrical, thermal, lifecycle, and safety requirements for battery cells

Develop data analysis workflows and translate results into requirements and models

Collaborate with software on SoX, diagnostics, and protection functions

Partner with mechanical, systems, controls, safety, and supply chain teams

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field

Strong knowledge of lithium-ion cells, testing, and BMS fundamentals

Proficiency in data analysis and technical communication

Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink or similar tools

Ability to travel up to 20% (overnight)

Valid driver’s license and passport

Master’s degree in a relevant field

Experience with cell characterization, SoX modeling, and abuse testing

Experience in industrial, automotive, or motive power battery systems

Familiarity with battery safety and regulatory standards
