Occupational Therapist/Physical Therapist - Physical Therapy

Outpatient Hand Therapist
This is a 13-week contract position.
Monday: 8 AM - 6 PM; Tuesday: 8 AM - 2 PM; Wednesday: 8 AM - 6 PM; Thursday: 8 AM - 5 PM; Friday: 8 AM - 5 PM.
The Outpatient Hand Therapist will evaluate assigned patients, developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans based on individual needs and physician direction. The therapist will be responsible for delegating and directing therapy services, ensuring functional treatment programs for effective community reintegration. The individual will also engage in educator roles for patients, families, students, and coworkers.
Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
Document patient care accurately and timely in compliance with guidelines.
Ensure all care is provided under signed and valid physician orders.
Participate in the student program, supervising and guiding students effectively.
Actively pursue ongoing professional development and complete continuing education requirements.
Maintain professional licensure and adhere to ethical standards and State Practice Acts.
Engage in performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have hand experience and be comfortable making splints.
• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Active CPR certification.
• Current state licensure for practicing as a Physical Therapist.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) preferred.
