What You’ll Do
Serve as the designated Pharmacist in Charge in accordance with Texas State Board of Pharmacy requirements
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations
Oversee daily pharmacy operations, workflow, and staff coordination
Supervise, train, and support pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support team members
Maintain all required pharmacy records, documentation, and operational standards
Oversee controlled substance inventory, reconciliation, and security procedures
Develop, implement, and maintain pharmacy policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and patient privacy standards
Lead quality assurance efforts and medication error prevention initiatives
Coordinate inspections and respond to regulatory inquiries
Monitor prescription volume, staffing needs, and operational efficiency
Oversee and ensure compliance of compounding activities in accordance with applicable regulations and company policies
Perform and oversee collection procedures, documentation, and chain-of-custody requirements for drug testing services
Requirements:
What We’re Looking For
Active Texas State Board of Pharmacy license
Minimum of 3-5 years of retail pharmacy experience
Immunization certification and ability to administer vaccines
Willingness to learn and perform USP 795 non-sterile compounding
Strong communication and leadership skills
Experience with MTM, immunizations, and third-party adjudication
Strong patient care and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Previous Pharmacist in Charge or Pharmacy Manager experience
Experience with PioneerRx and MatchRx software
