Working alongside them, our Cybersecurity team proactively defends our networks and systems against evolving threats. Together, these teams provide the technology foundation that enables STR's engineers and researchers to develop innovative solutions for national defense.The Role:We are seeking a Systems Administrator with an active Secret or Top Secret clearance to support our senior administrators in implementing, deploying, and maintaining Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu) and Windows operating systems in traditional and virtualized environments across a variety of hardware solutions.Please note: this position is based in Arlington, VA only (no other sites, no remote).What You Will Do:Professionally support senior administrators, Information System Security Officers (ISSO), management, researchers and others supporting the customersConfigure and maintain NAS Storage, Networking, Firewall, and Directory Services such as MS Active Directory management and Group Policy administrationPerform performance monitoring, results analysis and enhancement, as well as process automation using PowerShell scripting and other available technologiesProvide daily support, systems maintenance, problem resolution, tracing and project supportCreate and maintain installation and configuration Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Maintain current knowledge of DoD security and technical guidelines and the organization's policiesProvide support for production and development environmentsAfter-hours support is required for maintenance and patching when neededWho You Are:This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI with polygraph clearance, for which U.GovernmentLinux Administration (Red Hat, Ubuntu)Windows OS AdministrationNice to Haves:Enterprise Virtualization ToolsMulti-Factor AuthenticationPublic Key InfrastructureWeb ServerActive Directory including Group Policy, LDAP backend, and ReplicationEffective utilization of Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGS) and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Content and ToolsHost Based Security System (HBSS) implementation and maintenanceAssured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) supportCurrent knowledge of DoD Ports, Protocols, and Services (PPS)Education:Bachelor's degree + 5 years of experience or Master's degree + 3 years of experience or PhD or equivalent experience.Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $105,000 to $125,000The salary range listed is based on external market data.
