Hardware Electrical Engineering

THOR Solutions is actively seeking an Electrical Engineer to support Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Navigation & Electrical (C4N&E) activities at Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) in Panama City, FL . The engineer will support the In-Service Engineering Agent's (ISEA) electrical/computer systems engineering efforts. An ideal candidate will possess experience supporting engineering efforts for a major NAVSEA, NAVAIR, Navy, or DoD equivalent programs.
Technically support the Government in conducting requirements definition and analysis, electrical design, design implementation, design integration, and verification and validation activities.
Conduct analysis of alternatives for potential solutions to system issues and enhancements to provide recommendations for Government approval.
Simulate the design at various levels to include Automated Computer Aided Design (Auto CAD) or Solid Works modeling for all system and subsystem components, build 2D and 3D models.
Ensure temporary installations and design corrections do not compromise the safety of the system, craft, or any personnel.
Participate in reverse engineering efforts.
Location: Full time onsite at NSWC PCD in Panama City, FL.
Travel: Up to 10% travel anticipated.
Typical Physical Activity: Desk/computer work in an office environment. Existing SECRET Security Clearance Required: This position requires an existing active or interim Secret security clearance prior to hire. S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance; S. citizens will be considered for this position.
~ An otherwise strongly qualified candidate with highly relevant experience but no current security clearance may be considered, but clearance must be obtained prior to hire.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline from an accredited institution.
Knowledge/experience with 2D/3D CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, KiCad, or others).
Applied engineering experience on marine, aircraft or other military platform; designing or maintaining systems to meet environmental requirements of their operational environment.
Proficiency with common productivity software including the Microsoft Office suite.
Maritime Navigation requirements;
Network systems, Modbus and/or Modbus Transmission Control Protocol (TCP);
Controller Area Network bus (CANbus);
Data Acquisition Units (DAU);
