The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting for a Program Secretary. Under general supervision, the Program Secretary performs a full range of secretarial support services of average difficulty requiring the use of independent judgment. The current assignment is located in San Diego, CA as part of the Learning and Leadership Services - Early Education department in the Learning and Leadership Services division within SDCOE. This position is designated as bilingual required. All incumbents who pass a bilingual assessment in this classification are eligible for a bilingual stipend, which is issued only when all contractual conditions outlined in the Classified employee collective bargaining agreement are met. Please note that this position(s) is funded through grant and/or specially-funded programs.
This position requires one year of progressively responsible office/secretarial experience and training demonstrating the knowledge and abilities listed below. Work experience involving the use of computers for word processing and computerized recordkeeping is required. Positions designated as bilingual require oral competency and literacy in Spanish and English and the ability to translate spoken and written English to Spanish and Spanish to English.
