Starting Pay: $18.00-20.00 per hour (depending on site and experience) with unlimited long‑term earnings potential as part of GCI’s Fast‑Track Leadership Program.

We serve private neighborhoods, corporate offices, retail properties, industrial sites, and more — delivering proactive protection through visible presence and responsive service.

At GCI, we don’t just fill shifts — we build careers. Communication. Maintain a high‑visibility presence to deter crime and reinforce client peace of mind.

Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols to monitor premises, secure perimeters, and identify safety concerns.

Observe and report suspicious activity or safety hazards promptly and accurately.

Provide friendly, professional interaction with residents, guests, employees, and the general public.

Enforce site‑specific policies and procedures while maintaining GCI’s standards of courtesy and respect.

Write clear, detailed incident reports and daily shift logs using GCI’s reporting systems.

Assist emergency personnel as needed and communicate effectively with law enforcement when required.

Maintain a clean, professional appearance and represent the GCI brand with integrity at all times.

Prepare each post for success by arriving on time, following post orders, and completing all shift responsibilities.

Communicate regularly with field supervisors and dispatch to ensure seamless coverage and quick response.

Participate in ongoing training to build professional skills and prepare for advancement opportunities within GCI.

Communicates clearly, calmly, and respectfully — both verbally and in writing.

Works reliably with limited supervision and follows through on commitments.

Adapts quickly to changing site needs or client expectations.

Represents GCI Security with pride and takes ownership of the role.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Prior security, military, or customer service experience is a plus, but not required.

Must have reliable transportation to and from assigned job sites.

New to security? GCI Security proudly welcomes individuals who are new to the security field. If you don’t yet have a security license, we’ll guide you through the process and even reimburse your licensing fees during your first three months with the company.

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8-12 hours per shift).

Must be able to respond quickly to emergencies and navigate stairs, uneven surfaces, or outdoor environments as needed.

Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
