Manufacturing Engineering Planning

Position Summary We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer. With minimal supervision, the Manufacturing Engineer will work with engineering, operations, quality, and project management to develop technical manufacturing solutions for new and existing programs.
Essential Job Responsibilities Develop technical manufacturing solutions to improve processes, tooling and equipment.
Perform research to design and develop manufacturing processes.
Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.
Work with management, engineering, estimating, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations regarding production processes.
Assist with resolution of customer, technical and quality issues.
Work with customer quality on process qualification/compliance.
Lead engineering efforts regarding problem solving, root cause/corrective action (RCCA) of material/process, and process improvement.
Review and approve individual designs, drawings, specifications, reports, as part of formal signature and release process, for components, assemblies, installations, and testing.
Assist with special projects and participate on process improvement teams as requested.
Support implementation of new product introduction.
Support planning and work order template creation for production routings.
Conduct specification review, interpretation, and implementation.
Travel required (5-15% of time).
Education and Experience 4‑year degree in Engineering.
Aerospace industry knowledge preferred.
Working knowledge of 3D CAD systems required.
CATIA v5 preferred.
Experience in sheet metal fabrication and chemical processing desired.
Assembly engineering experience preferred.
Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor.
