Position Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join a 12-bed unit utilizing critical care and neuroscience principles at the intermediate level. The unit specializes in caring for a variety of patient populations, including those transferring from a Neuro ICU, patients who have experienced neuro trauma, and individuals with various neurological issues.
Patient Populations
The unit manages a diverse range of cases, including:

Neuro trauma patients
Patients with subarachnoid, intraventricular, or intracerebral hemorrhages
ENT patients with cancer undergoing tumor resection and flap reconstruction
Post-operative spine patients
A broad spectrum of neurological conditions
Work Schedule
The position adheres to a schedule of:

• Night shifts available for a duration of 13 weeks
• 36 or 48 hours per week for one available position, with the other being 36 hours only
• Every other weekend and holiday commitment required
• Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays
• Up to 40 hours of time off can be approved

Patient Care Ratio
The unit operates with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:3, ensuring optimal care and attention to each patient's needs.
