Registered Nurse (RN) - MedSurg/IMC for ED Holds

Work Shift: Third (Nights)

Type: Full-time, On-Site

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical or IMCU RN to join the Resource Pool, specifically for ED Holds in the Emergency Department.

Sign-on Bonus: Up to $20,000 for qualified candidates.

Hours/Shift:
FT - Nights 7p-7a

The RN works collaboratively with the ED team to care for patients admitted to a med/surg level of care awaiting a room. This RN is part of the Resource Pool and will float to IMC/Med Surg units as needed.

This is a 41-bed Level III Trauma ED with a dedicated psychiatric screening and treatment area. The ED treats about 150 patients daily and is equipped with radiology services including plain film and CT imaging.

Virginia or compact multistate RN license in good standing.

Minimum 18 months RN experience in a hospital setting, specifically in IMCU or medical-surgical units.
