This position is responsible for preparing handcrafted pizzas and other quick-service menu items while delivering exceptional food quality, consistency, and speed of service in a fast-paced resort environment.The ideal candidate enjoys working in an open kitchen, takes pride in their craft, thrives during busy meal periods, and contributes to creating memorable dining experiences for resort guests and families. This role plays an important part in maintaining South Seas' commitment to outstanding hospitality, food quality, cleanliness, and teamwork.**Key Responsibilities**### Food Preparation & Execution* Prepare, assemble, and cook pizzas according to established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.* Prepare pizza dough, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients while maintaining freshness and quality standards.* Operate pizza ovens and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.* Maintain attractive food displays and replenish ingredients throughout service.### Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance while working in an open kitchen environment.* Respond professionally to special requests or dietary needs when appropriate.### Kitchen Operations* Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift.* Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines.* Properly rotate products using FIFO methods and monitor food quality.* Assist with receiving, storing, labeling, and organizing inventory.* Notify supervisors of inventory shortages, equipment issues, or quality concerns.### Teamwork* Work collaboratively with fellow culinary and front-of-house team members to ensure efficient operations.* Support other Food & Beverage outlets during peak business periods as needed.* Participate in ongoing training and maintain South Seas service standards.**Qualifications* High School Diploma or equivalent required.* Previous experience as a pizza cook, line cook, prep cook, or similar culinary position preferred.* Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety.* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.* Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.## ## Bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.* Work safely around hot ovens, sharp equipment, and commercial kitchen machinery.* Tolerate exposure to heat, steam, and varying kitchen temperatures.*It is our policy to provide employment, compensation, and other benefits related to employment based on qualifications, without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, veteran status, genetic information, disability, or any other basis prohibited by federal, state or local law.**In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and applicable federal, state and/or local laws, it is our policy to provide reasonable accommodation upon request during the application process to applicants in order that they may be given a full and fair opportunity to be considered for employment.**As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we intend to comply fully with applicable federal, state and/or local employment laws and the information requested on this application will only be used for purposes consistent with those laws.
