HOUSEKEEPER - FULL TIME SHIFT

Tabor Hills Senior Living Campus, a not-for-profit community located in Naperville, IL, has been dedicated to caring for our senior population for over 130 years. Tabor Hills Senior Living offers an Independent Living Community, Supportive Living Community and a Skilled Nursing Building.
We currently have a full time opening for a Housekeeper at our Skilled Nursing Building

~ STARTING RATE-$16.00 PER HOUR

~ VACATION PAY/HOLIDAY PAY

Under the supervision of the Director of Environmental Services, the Housekeeper shall keep all areas of the facility neat, clean and in a sanitary condition.
The duties of the Housekeeper position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Able to sweep, mop, and polish floors; wash windows and walls; move and arrange furniture and equipment; Dress in appropriate uniform and be at appointed workstation promptly when the shift starts and work consistently until the shift ends.
Demonstrate ability to clean and sanitize areas of responsibility consistent with facility policy and procedure.
Attend all facility and department in-service training.
Work in cooperation with all other employees of the facility to maintain a clean and sanitary environment for both residents and staff.
Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to facility safety programs at all times.
Ability to get around the facility to carry out assignments.
Communicates orally and in writing with residents, families and co-workers.
A high school diploma is desirable, but not mandatory.
A good working knowledge (reading and speaking) of the English language is mandatory.
Housekeeping experience is preferable, but not essential.
Use of basic housekeeping equipment.
Works in a safety conscious manner, which ensures that safe work practices are used in order not to pose a risk to others in the workplace.
Complies with company policies and procedures and local, state, and federal regulations.
Adheres to policy on Drug Free Workplace.
Interacts in a tactful diplomatic and humanistic manner with residents, families, visitors, and co-workers to provide a safe, efficient and therapeutically effective caring environment which insures the self-respect, personal dignity, rights and physical safety of each resident and facility guest.
Maintains a dependable attendance record and adheres to standards of cleanliness, grooming, hygiene and dress code.
