BCBA needed for a Full Time Position

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Aurora Behavioral Health System, the state\'s largest free-standing psychiatric hospital system, is looking for a Behavioral Analyst for our Tempe facility\'s 15 bed Specialized Needs Unit. The Specialized Needs Unit will provide intensive treatment for children with developmental disorders, such as autism, addressing aggression, self-injury, impairment in functioning, and mental health challenges.
The Behavioral Analyst will support the unit\'s behavioral team in the development of behavior plans, behavioral analysis of selected target behaviors, staff education on plan procedures, and family/caregiver behavioral training. Primary responsibility includes ensuring the integrity of all behavioral data needed for patient care. Secondary focus includes generalization of behavioral treatment to families and other caregivers. Data collection forms, procedures, monitoring, and analysis are the sole responsibility of this position, with appropriate backup for scheduled absences. The role may delegate certain data entry functions as needed but remains responsible for the integrity of all programs\' behavioral data. The position is supervised by the Director of the unit and has no personnel management responsibilities.
Essential Functions:
Assist in the development of behavioral assessment and behavioral treatment protocols under guidance of the behavioral director
Perform formal behavioral analysis procedures for selected target behaviors
Coordinate behavioral assessment and treatment protocols for all patients
Model and teach behavioral plans to staff
Prepare and maintain data collection sheets, other clinical data forms, graphing, and data analysis for patients in coordination
Documentation of service provided
Support the family/caregiver training program including scheduling sessions, training families/caregivers, and facilitating effective learning
Job Requirements
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a Board-Certified Analyst required. Bachelor\'s degree and 1+ years of post-certification experience required.
Must have at least 1 year of experience in the provision of behavioral analysis and behavior analytic treatment.
Demonstrates critical thinking and organizational skills for the development and delivery of training programs.
Must display strong interpersonal, planning, forecasting, analytical skills and maturity required to work in the hospital environment.
Knowledge of psychiatric service delivery system and treatment methods.
Specific knowledge and skills in area of training and development.
Skills in data collection, analysis, evaluation and interpretation.
Problem-solving skills.
Sound interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and educate clinical staff.
Must have experience with coordinating and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Teaching and training skills are required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to adapt to constant change and a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
