Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiac Surgery
Schedule:
10-hour Days, 4 days per week; 0630-1700 hours
Assignment Details:
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Requirements:

• Kansas RN License
• BLS Certification
• 2 years of CVOR experience in a level 1 trauma center
• Recent strong scrub experience on cardiac surgeries
• Circulating experience required

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the operating room for cardiac surgeries.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and effective surgical outcomes.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and anesthesia levels during procedures.
• Maintain a sterile environment and manage surgical instruments effectively.
• Assist in patient assessments and education before and after surgery.
• Ensure compliance with established protocols and standards of care.

Compliance / Notes:

• Nicotine-free facility
• Orientation: Monday-Tuesday new employee orientation
• Credentialing Expectations: CBC, DS, and lab work must be completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance
• On-Call Requirements: Up to 1 weekend per month; must be willing to take call on some holidays; 2-hour minimum call back
• Weekend Requirements: Yes, required in rotation
• Client Cancellation: Allowed the cancellation of two shifts per month at no cost to the client and no pay to the THP, with a minimum of 2 hours notice provided.
