Casual Part-Time (Req# 2025-325) Day shift, 18 hours per week.

Description of Position

TheRadiation Therapist performs simulations and administers radiation therapy treatments to patients underthe general supervision of the Manager, Radiation Therapy Services, withdirection from the Radiation Oncologist. Accurately operates highly sophisticated equipment, maintains accurate, detailed patientrecords pertaining to treatment delivery, patient care, and chargecapture. Monitorspatient progress, managing side effects, and ensures patient safety and comfortthroughout the treatment process. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills to encourage andpromote teamwork with staff, physicians and all employees. Demonstrates knowledge,skill, and professionalism while providing the highest standards of patientcare.

Qualifications and Requirements

Highschool diploma, or equivalent, required. Bachelor’s or Associates degreefrom an approved two (2) year Radiation Therapy program required. CurrentHawaii State license for Radiological Technologist as a Radiation Therapist andAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required; or anycombination of education and experience which would provide the necessaryknowledge, skills and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to performthe essential functions of this position. Heartsaver CPR AED required,with retraining once every two years.
