Feed-In Operator

Job Title: Feed-In Operator Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Statesville, NC Pay: $14.50 per hour Schedule: Monday Friday, 4:00 PM 2:00 AM

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Feed-In Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating the feed-in equipment to maintain a smooth and continuous flow of rolls through the production process. This role requires strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and the ability to follow safety procedures while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate the feed-in equipment to maintain a continuous and even flow of materials throughout the production process

Ensure logs are properly taped together and verify that tape is sealing correctly

Monitor material flow and make adjustments as needed to support production efficiency

Mark the first peeled log of each type and thickness after material changes to inform operators downstream

Visually inspect materials for defects and remove defective products for recycling

Collect scrap materials and place them on the conveyor for recycling

Maintain assigned work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition

Follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques, machine guarding, conveyor safety, forklift safety, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and fire safety guidelines

Use required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, and approved footwear

Identify and report product quality issues or concerns

Assist with other production duties and support other departments as needed

Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and efficient work environment

Required Qualifications:

Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred

Ability to operate machinery and follow production procedures

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to identify product defects and follow quality standards

Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Strong safety awareness and willingness to follow company policies

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience operating manufacturing equipment

Experience in a production line environment

Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and OSHA standards

Experience with material handling or recycling processes

Ability to learn and perform multiple production tasks
