Structural Engineering (Junior)

The Junior Engineer plays a vital role within Beryl’s structural engineering team, contributing to the design and execution of commercial and residential projects. This position supports engineering excellence through structural calculations, plan reviews, and coordination across disciplines.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical competency, demonstrates a genuine commitment to teamwork and collaboration, and is willing to integrate into Beryl’s established systems, workflows, and communication channels to ensure consistency, quality, and accountability across the team.

Perform structural engineering calculations for concrete, wood, and steel structures across residential and commercial projects.

Review and validate engineering plans, calculations, reports, and supporting documentation for technical accuracy and compliance with applicable codes.

Collaborate closely with engineers, drafters, and project managers to meet deadlines, maintain quality, and reinforce a culture of team success.

Assist in proposal preparation, project bidding, and client meetings as part of business development efforts.

Maintain accurate project tracking and visibility using Pipedrive’s Projects feature, including timelines, budgets, and internal assignments.

Actively contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the engineering team.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Active Engineer Intern (EI) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.

Basic understanding of structural design and engineering principles.

Minimum of 2 years of AutoCAD experience.

Familiarity with structural analysis and design tools such as RISA 3D.

Knowledge of commercial and residential building codes and standards.
