Job Summary

The Security Guard (Unarmed)is responsible formaintainingthe safety, security, and controlled access of Allied Fabricators LLC’s manufacturing facility, employees, visitors, equipment, and assets within a structural steel and pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) production environment. This position plays a critical role in supporting daily plant operations by monitoring facility activity,controlling site access, conducting regular patrols, and helpingmaintaina safe, secure, and professional manufacturing environment.

The Security Guard works closely with Facilities, Production Leadership, HR, Shipping, and visitors to ensure proper access control,monitorsite activity, enforce company policies, and support emergency response procedures across manufacturing, warehouse, and office operations. This role requires strong situational awareness, professionalism, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm and responsive in a fast-paced industrial settingoperatingmultiple shifts.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control entry and exit points for employees, visitors, contractors, vendors, and delivery drivers entering the manufacturing facility.

Verify employee badges, visitor credentials, contractor documentation, and vehicle access authorization.

Maintainaccuratevisitor logs, delivery records, vehicle information, and access documentation.

Issue visitor badges and ensure all guestscomply withfacility safety and security requirements.

Monitor gate activity, shipping traffic, and incoming/outgoing deliveries throughout the facility.

Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of manufacturing buildings, office areas, parking lots, storage yards, and perimeter fencing.

Maintain a visible security presence throughout fabrication, welding,surface treatment,paint, shipping, and warehouse operations.

Monitor manufacturing areas for unauthorized activity, safety concerns, theft prevention, or policy violations.

Assistwith securing manufacturing areas, equipment, inventory, and company assets during and afteroperatinghours.

Support production operations bymaintainingorganized traffic flow and controlled facility access during shift changes and high-volume operational periods.

Observe and report suspicious behavior, unsafe conditions, operational hazards, or facilityconcerns toleadership.

Monitor after-hoursactivity andassistwith facility opening and closing procedures.

Respond appropriately to emergencies including medical incidents, fires, severe weather, security concerns, workplace disturbances, and evacuation situations.

Assistwith emergency response coordination alongside leadership, law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency medical personnel when necessary.

Maintainaccuratesecurity logs, patrol records, visitor documentation, and incident reports.

Support facility emergency drills, evacuation procedures, and site safety initiatives.

Qualifications

Experience: 3 years of experience in Security for a manufacturing facility.

Certifications:Valid Texas Level II Non-Commissioned Security Licensestrongly preferred

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Knowledge of facility security procedures, access control, and incident response practices.

Strong situational awareness and observational skills.

Ability tomaintainprofessionalism and sound judgment in high-pressure situations.

Strong communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently whilemaintainingaccountability and operational awareness.

Ability to interact professionally with employees, contractors, vendors, visitors, and leadership teams.

Ability to writeaccuratereports andmaintaindetailed documentation.

Proficiencyin Microsoft Office 365

Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing and multi-shift operational environment.

Work Environment

Frequent exposure to manufacturing floor conditions including welding operations, forklifts, cranes, moving equipment, production noise, dust, varying temperatures, and active shipping traffic.

Must be able to work safely around industrial equipment, heavy machinery, and operational manufacturing activities.

May berequiredto support security coverage during overtime, weekends, shift transitions, or emergency operational situations.

Work Schedule

Must be willing and able to work 1st or 2nd shift

Depending on production needs, some weekend work may berequired.

Allied employees will be eligible for the Allied benefitpackage on the1st day of the month following 60 days.
