Registered Nurse - Piedmont Geriatric Hospital
Compensation
Salary: $84,418.00 - Commensurate with Experience (Pay Band 5). Eligible new hires may receive a $5,000 sign‑on bonus.

Agency: Dept. Behavioral Health/Development. Location: Piedmont Geriatric Hospital, Virginia.
Responsibilities
Supervise nursing staff on one of four treatment units.
Participate in treatment team meetings and therapeutic program activities.
Ensure delivery of patient care according to individual treatment plans.
Act as point of leadership for a team of health care professionals; guide, coach, and evaluate staff.
Utilize nursing process with knowledge of pharmacology, psychiatric disorders, and the physical, psychological, and social needs of psychiatric patients.
Delegate nursing activities, supervise, and counsel nursing employees.
Demonstrate competency as defined on Competency Assessment.
Minimum Qualifications
Basic computer knowledge.
Virginia State Board of Registered Nursing license.
Additional Considerations
Preferred bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Med‑surg nursing experience preferred.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Long‑term care and nursing home experience preferred.
Experience working with electronic health records.
