Physical Therapist - PT day shift

Physical Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts.

The Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient's needs and physician direction. Responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services, the therapist ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities while serving as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers.

Completes comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.

Utilizes clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals for patient discharge.

Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to address barriers to discharge.

Manages individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient care needs.

Documents medical records clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner.

Participates in student program assignments and provides a positive learning environment.

Actively pursues professional development through continuing education and involvement in professional activities.

Maintains professional licensure in good standing and adheres to state practice acts.

Demonstrates awareness of organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Must hold a valid and current State license as a Physical Therapist.

Minimum of 2 years of experience; inpatient rehab experience is highly desired.

BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
