Evaluates and treats patients with musculoskeletal injuries, conditions and disabilities through the use of various physical modalities, therapeutic exercises and therapeutic procedures in accordance with the physician's orders and department policies.

Assess, consults with physician, develops plan of care and goals with patient. Provides treatment based on physician's orders.

Utilize electronic health records efficiently and effectively to complete evaluations, daily notes and physician progress reports in a timely manner.

Observes and reassesses the patient's condition and recommends appropriate changes to the plan of care.

Operates within safety, infection and environmental control policies and procedures for physical therapy.

Fits and instructs patients in the use and care of durable medical equipment as prescribed by the physician and accurately completes paperwork for billing.

Stay current in their respective field through reading professional literature and attending continuing education offerings, etc.

Supervise and review physical therapy assistant treatments and documentation. Ability to communicate clearly in person and on the phone.

Ability to establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients, customers, families, therapists, physicians, other team members in the company.

Navigate and comprehension of computer software systems in an office setting, prefer 50wpm typing skill.

Requires the ability to perform a variety of therapeutic exercises, joint mobilizations and manual resistance for strength testing and training.

Environmental/Working Conditions

Combination of office and treatment areas.

Exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions common to a clinic setting.

Exposure to electrical equipment and cleaning solutions. D in an accredited physical therapy program. Registered as a physical therapist and licensed in the state of Indiana.

Experience: Minimum of two years physical therapy experience preferred. New graduates are considered.
