Janitor/Maintenance - Nights/Weekends

Florida Atlantic University is seeking several Custodial Workers. - The Custodial Worker is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments across assigned areas. This position performs a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties using proper methods, equipment, and safety procedures to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and functionality.

Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms and/or assigned work areas by utilizing proper cleaning methods. May include but not limited to sweeping, dusting, mopping, waxing, and vacuuming. Cleans kitchens, lounges, hallways, stairwells, offices, conference rooms and other public areas as assigned by using proper cleaning methods.

• Cleans receptacles and janitorial closets as necessary.
• Cleans (dusts and/or washes) furnishings, light fixtures, and/or air conditioning vents using proper cleaning methods or equipment.
• Washes windows and/or sweeps stairwells.
• Reports building damages or problems to supervisor.
• Performs job-related special projects. May include moving furniture or furnishings, room set up including linen or changing linen, and minor maintenance as necessary.

A high school diploma or completion of 9th grade with one year of appropriate experience required.

16.71 hourly.

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. Some nights and weekends are required. This position requires working on an on-call rotation.
