Advances and leads evidence-based practices, participates, and leads in unit governance, leads unit projects, and mentors other nurses to achieve in the role of the professional nurse. This nurse will have over two years of nursing experience, a BSN (or completion of RN-MSN), MSN, DNP program, and specialty certification. Demonstrates expertise in chosen scholarly activities focused on the advancement or promotion of the profession.

Role models dependable, effective, and efficient care to a patient population using the nursing process. Demonstrates foresight regarding the impact of nursing care on patient outcomes based on intuition and experience. Is recognized as an expert clinician and a leader within their area of specialty and assists less experienced nurses concerning patient care. Documentation and Standards of Care: 1. Establishes, promotes, and evaluates standardized plans of care for the unit using evidence-based research within the area of specialty. Collaborates with management and patient/family advisor council to develop standardized teaching materials for patient and family learning needs. Demonstrates exemplary practice using AACN Synergy Model for Patient Care. Ensures compliance and adherence with stated policies and procedures for a patient population. Role models and educates others utilizing the Synergy model for patient care. Role models delegation skills to colleagues and assists others in effective delegation utilizing the Synergy model of care. Functions as a Charge Nurse when assigned. Leads and coordinates team behavior between staff members and actively fosters the development of leadership skills in others. Takes a leadership role in building and maintaining an environment which fosters open and candid communication. Develops staff competencies utilizing Clinical Nurse Specialists as resource/consultant. Actively participates in monitoring and developing staff competency. Intuitively uses self in the therapeutic relationship to enhance care. Utilizes patient satisfaction feedback as a factor in designing patient care delivery. Respects and maintains confidential information. Must meet all Nurse Clinician Employee Commitments. Education - Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Experience - 2 years of recent nursing experience AND a minimum of 2 years of experience in the area of concentration. Licensure - A valid, unencumbered Registered Nursing License approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing. Nursing Specialty Certification 3. If completing virtual care activities that may include multi-state practice, an active compact/multistate license (eNLC) is required within 60 days of hire.
