Installation, Maintenance and Repair Tech

Maintenance Technician, 1st shift.
Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
Dismantle and repair machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.
Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, or machinery
Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
Order parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogs, online stores, and suppliers.
Plan repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
Fabricate, paint or repair counters, benches, partitions, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures.
Align and balance new equipment after installation.
Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring instruments.
Cutting, grinding, brazing and fabrication activities.
Assist in developing preventive maintenance programs.
Develop equipment or component configurations.
3-5 years of experience in maintenance activities.

• Experience with maintenance of CNC machinery is preferred, but not necessary.
• Experience with corrective and preventive maintenance of plant equipment and machinery.

High School Diploma
Technical School Degree and/or Military Training a plus
Equipment Maintenance - Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
Equipment Selection - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
Installation - Installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.
Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
Visualization - The ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged.
Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. While the work area may be described as generally clean, safe, and "not loud", there will be machining operations that generate moderate noise and metal particles.
