Job Summary As an IHOP Porter/Combo, your primary responsibility is to maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the restaurant, with a specific focus on dishwashing and kitchen cleanliness. Your duties include washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, as well as assisting with general cleaning tasks in the dining area and kitchen. Additionally, you will help restock supplies and collaborate with the kitchen and serving staff to maintain a smooth flow of operations. Your dedication to cleanliness and hygiene is essential in upholding IHOP's high standards and providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Unload, un-box, rotate and store food, equipment and supplies as necessary.

Stock and rotate all needed supplies in the service areas and dining room.

Comply with all federal, state and local regulations as well as the IHOP Safety Manual and SOP health, sanitation and safety guidelines.

Check restrooms hourly to ensure proper stocking levels of supplies and the cleanliness of the facilities.

The ability to thoroughly clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment is crucial for maintaining hygiene standards.

Porters/Combos need to work efficiently to keep up with the pace of the restaurant's operations, particularly during busy shifts.

Keeping dishwashing and cleaning areas well-organized and ensuring items are returned to their proper places is essential.

Punctuality and consistency are highly valued in these roles, as timely completion of tasks is important for overall restaurant operations.

A commitment to following safety guidelines and using appropriate protective equipment, such as gloves and aprons, is essential.
