Occupational Health/Emergency Response Paramedic

The Paramedic provides advanced on-site clinical medical response and urgent care within Hightop Health. This role also functions as a primary clinical support provider for interventional psychiatric treatments, including SPRAVATO® (esketamine) and ketamine-based services, in accordance with Hightop Health policies, procedures, provider orders, and paramedic scope of practice. The role participates in the delivery and clinical monitoring of SPRAVATO® treatment services in accordance with the SPRAVATO® REMS Program, provider orders, and Hightop Health policies and procedures. It may also administer and monitor ketamine-based treatment services not subject to REMS requirements, in accordance with provider orders, clinical protocols, and paramedic scope of practice. This is a clinic-based role and does not function as part of a 911 emergency transport service.

Coordinate and administer SPRAVATO® and ketamine-based treatment visits in accordance with clinical protocols, provider orders, and required monitoring standards

Ensure a safe, supportive treatment environment through consistent patient preparation, observation, documentation, and adherence to emergency and safety procedures

Provide high-quality patient service, education (within scope), and service recovery to support engagement and retention in treatment

Check equipment, maintain equipment, and report needs for equipment

Lead and coordinate patient treatments and report to other healthcare professionals

Attend to patient’s needs before, during and after medical treatment

Use technical equipment and tools to monitor patients

Write and submit concrete and accurate patient reports

Adhere to established medical protocols and procedures as well as legal guidelines and health and safety standards

Keep abreast of new treatment and medical procedures through continuous training

Must be able to use Microsoft Office

Be able to check inventory, log medications administered, ensure compliance

Effectively communicate with healthcare professionals, co-workers, patients and their caregivers

Proven experience as a paramedic

Knowledge of medical procedures, terminology and medications

Excellent working knowledge of medical equipment and devices

Georgia Paramedic License

NREMT Paramedic
