• Gordon Food Service takes pride in delivering seamless order processing and delivery to our customers, and our warehouse staff is the backbone of our success. As a custodian, you'll support our team by maintaining the buildings to ensure clean, organized operations. You can expect to work in extreme temperatures (-25F to 100F) in the distribution center. There's no experience required - we'll train you how to get the job done!

You must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed - holidays are very important to our customers!
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions).

Maintains the facility and associated paperwork to meet AIB and other food safety standards.

Performs inspections of equipment and reports findings.
Mows lawn, trims shrubbery and cultivates flower.
May remove, charge, transport, and install hi-lo (forklift) batteries in the warehouse.
Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the start-up, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.
Ability to read, write and communicate in English
Ability to read and understand information on a Material Safety Data Sheet, and adhere to safety regulations and procedures
Must be able to operate powered industrial vehicle (PIV), vacuum cleaner, lawn mower, gardening tools and other various types of equipment.
Must have basic computer skills utilizing windows based software.
