As a Connect Transit Dispatcher you will be a vital part of the communication hub that connects our customers, Maintenance Department, and the Bus Operators of our paratransit and fixed route services.

Provide exceptional customer service over the phone and in person

Professionally answer telephones and assist callers as needed

Provide routing assistance to Bus Operators

Respond to requests for assistance using a two-way radio

Collect and enter service data in appropriate programs

Relay communications between the Operations, Maintenance, and Administration departments to support the daily operational needs of Mobility Service, Fixed Route, and Microtransit

Complete required yearly trainings (Diversity/Inclusion in the Workplace, Equal Opportunity, etc.)

High School diploma or GED

Pass Department of Transportation Physical and pre-employment drug test, and willingness to comply with federal drug and alcohol testing requirements

Work when needed, including nights, weekends, early mornings, and split shifts.

Interact with customers of varying abilities in a friendly, patient manner.

Read, write, and speak English.

Use general office machines, practices, and procedures correctly.

Use math for basic cash transactions.

Use a computer, including Microsoft Office applications.

Work in a professional group office setting.
