Cashier-Aquatics Position
The City of Carson is now accepting applications for Cashier-Aquatics positions. Applications will be reviewed weekly.
Be the welcoming face of Carson's aquatic programs as a Cashier Clerk with the Community Services / Recreation / Park Maintenance Department. In this important frontline role, you will create positive first impressions for families and residents visiting our pools and aquatic facilities. From assisting guests with registrations and admissions to providing friendly, helpful service, you help ensure every visitor feels valued and supported. Your professionalism and customer care will set the tone for safe, enjoyable, and memorable aquatic experiences for our community.
These positions are part-time/temporary, at-will (FLSA: Non-Exempt) positions that are limited to a maximum of 960 hours per fiscal year. Part-time employees are not typically eligible for benefits; however, they may qualify for health coverage and sick leave accruals subject to applicable federal and state provisions.
Aquatics Summer In-Service
Community Services / Recreation / Park Maintenance Department - Summer In-Service
Under close supervision, receives and accounts for cash at a community swimming pool; Completes registration paperwork and maintains records for swim lessons and aquatic activities and uses RecWare, a computer-based recreation registration system (training will be provided.)

• Answers routine inquiries regarding fees and class times by telephone and in person.
• Totals daily revenue and prepares monies for deposit.

Completion of formal education sufficient to assure the ability to read and write and perform basic arithmetical calculations at the level required for successful job performance. Correct English usage.
Telephone etiquette.
Basic computer skills.
Operate an adding machine and computer keyboard.
Effectively communicate in English orally and in writing.
