This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
Schedule includes rotating shifts with a patient ratio of 1:5. Requires coverage for every other weekend and flexibility to meet unit needs.
Job Description
The Acute Care Float Pool Registered Nurse will provide care across various specialties including medical, surgical, medical telemetry, surgical telemetry, infusion, orthopedic, and neurosurgery. The RN will be responsible for patient assessments, planning, implementation of care, and evaluation of patients in various units within the hospital, ensuring high-quality and coordinated care. The RN will work with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and use the EPIC charting system for documentation.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients across multiple units.
Perform patient assessments and implement appropriate interventions.
Ensure compliance with medical protocols and safety standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
Document patient care activities and maintain accurate records using EPIC.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Support patient and family education initiatives.
Required Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
Experience in acute care settings and handling medical/surgical patients.
Familiarity with telemetry and handling of a patient ratio of 3-5.
Certifications/Licensure
Current BCLS certification is required.
Additional certifications such as ACLS and CPI are preferred.
Must hold an active Washington RN license.
