AdventHealth Medical Group Oncology and Hematology is one of the largest hematology and oncology practices in Central Florida. The practice has made significant strides in breast cancer, colorectal cancer and lung cancer research, early diagnosis and positive patient outcomes.
Hematology/Oncology is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) to join our team in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Our APPs play an active part in delivering high‑quality care by coordinating individualized treatment plans under physician supervision and engaging in clinical responsibilities that help drive high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
We welcome APPs who want to grow their expertise in hematology/oncology within a practice model that values clinical autonomy, work‑life balance, and long‑term career growth. As part of a nationally recognized team, our APPs benefit from dedicated physician leadership, strong clinical collaboration, and a supportive operational structure.
Work collaboratively with a team of 2 Hematologist Oncologists, 2 APPs, and support staff
Monday through Friday schedule: 8:00 am-4:30 pm, weekend rotation 1:3
The APRN or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s) who acts as the collaborative practitioner(s), is responsible for:
Perform physical examinations of patients and evaluate and treat hematology and oncology patients primarily in the outpatient setting at our New Smyrna Beach location.
Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X‑ray, etc.
Monitor the patient’s course of treatment and make appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed.
Collaborate with physician supervisor and staff, as necessary, to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff.
Schedule: Monday‑Friday
includes rounding and overnight
Rotating weekend, weeknight and holiday call
Strong medical decision‑making skills are a must
Strong clinical background with an emphasis on oncology‑related conditions
Ability to work evening and weekend hours as needed; night and weekend on‑call responsibilities may be required
Master’s degree in Nursing (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA‑C) Studies
1‑2 years of experience as APRN or PA‑C in Hematology/Oncology practice preferred
Licensure, Certification, and Registration
Current, valid Florida APRN or PA license
