Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering essential tests, and creating tailored care strategies
Identifying and addressing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues independently or in tandem with physicians, depending on your certification
Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies within your professional scope
Engaging in chronic care management and patient follow-ups
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide unified and comprehensive care
Maintaining complete and precise documentation using electronic medical records (EMR)
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of California
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent
Familiarity with EMR systems and comfort with telehealth technologies
