Job: Mechanical Engineering Supervision

This is a mechanical design engineering position with an emphasis on engineering design of complex medical instruments. This individual will collaborate with R&D engineering staff to design, document, prototype, and test complex medical instruments.

Assists in the definition, proof of concept, design, development, implementation and/or support of technical or business solutions by performing specific research activities or developments within the scope of the assigned activity.

Develops all deliverables following all design and development processes for design control and good scientific practices to ensure scientific relevance.

Defines priorities within the scope of the assigned activities to ensure timeliness and quality of project(s) the level involved in.

Provides assistance for the scope of assigned activities to ensure milestones are met.

Performs all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.

Required Education, Training, and Experience

Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.

2 years of professional experience in designing mechanical systems, equipment, and/or components.

Preferred Education, Training, and Experience

Experience designing mechanical components and/or systems for new product development.

Experience designing parts that use common manufacturing methods and materials, such as injection-molded plastic, machining, and sheet metal.

Includes ability to communicate technical data in written form.

Creative Communication: Detailed orientation to complete tasks without errors and produce high‑quality work.

Includes ability to communicate findings moderately complex tasks with occasional supervision.

Mechanical CAD for 3D Modeling and Drawings (SolidWorks preferred).

Experience mechanical engineering and prototype design.

Ability to move about within the workspace to access equipment, files, etc. - Ability to operate computer and other office equipment - Yes

This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux's bonus program. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate's experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
