Real Estate and Mortgage Closer

To close first mortgage loans in accordance with applicable federal/state laws as well as Navy Federal policies and procedures.

• Prepare mortgage packages for delivery to settlement companies for purposes of closing on conventional, Veteran's Administration (VA), Federal Housing Administration (FHA) mortgage products, and equity loans.
• Authorize release of closing packages to closing agent, if applicable - Under minimal supervision
• Ensure credit, underwriting and property conditions have been satisfied prior to closing
• clear any mortgage related deficiencies withinspecified time period
• Examine property status reports and property insurance policies for accuracy in documents and propercoverage
• Maintain contact with lawyers, settlement agents and real estate brokers regarding the status of closingpackage
• Monitor mortgage loan process and ensure compliance with Federal laws, as well as, Navy Federal, NCUA
• Prepare fully executed mortgage file for post-closing
• Provide closing agent with information for title binder and specifics about documents and conditionsrequired for closing
• Review property surveys for unacceptable or uninsurable encroachments or violations
• Schedule settlement with closing agent, member, seller and realtor
• Verify completeness and accuracy of approved credit packages
• Closing equity loans, closer confirms how title will be held, review, and confirm escrow information.
• Closing equity loans, closer will provide closing disclosure, obtain acknowledgement from the member asneeded, and maintain member contact once assigned the loan
• Closing equity loans, closer will maintain contact with the members and notaries regarding the status of
