• Draw quality blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures – Prepare specimens accurately for laboratory testing – Explain procedures to patients to foster trust and confidence – Maintain accurate records and documentation of collected specimens and testing data – Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure and professional environment – Demonstrate leadership behaviors focused on process excellence, confidentiality, and patient care – Perform specimen collection, processing, and related duties confidently in both forensic and clinical contexts – Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor – Maintain organizational commitment and promote a positive image among patients and staff
• Ability to perform quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment – Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients – Ability to work independently with minimal supervision – Excellent customer service and communication skills – Keyboard and data entry proficiency – Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent required – Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred – Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington) – Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; over one year preferred – Customer service experience in retail or service environments is a plus – Willingness to participate in some out-of-town training to enhance skills and knowledge
