Phlebotomist (temporary/hourly)

Phlebotomist

Location: Baltimore, MD

Job Schedule

Mon, Tues, Thurs 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Wed, Fri 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Saturdays as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.

Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner

Process billing information and collect payments when required

Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis

Maintain patient and specimen information logs

Provide superior customer service to all patients

Administrative and clerical duties as necessary

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program, or 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program from an accredited agency may meet requirements

Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test

Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Exceptional customer service

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work independently or in a team environment

Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Travel to additional site as needed, reliable transportation

Compensation

Pay Range: $17.75 – $26.00 per hour

Eligible for Participant Incentive Plan (P.S.T.) with quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

Employees scheduled 20+ hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are eligible only for the 401(k) Plan. Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.
