USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Greater Heights is seeking a motivated Operating Room Nurse to join our team. We have 5 OR rooms and 3 treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, General, GI, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology. We are looking for a candidate who is available Monday‑Friday, with scheduling subject to change based on the surgical schedule and flow of day. The candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required.

Job Summary
The OR Registered Nurse is responsible for the nursing activities related to the care of patients experiencing an operative or other invasive procedure. The staff member can expect to care for adult patients, including older adults through geriatric, and pediatric patients from 1 month through adolescence. Our scope of service includes gastroenterology, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, urology, pain management, ophthalmology, and general surgery.

Required Skills

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.

Minimum two years of previous OR experience.

Current Texas license as a Registered Nurse.

Current CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications.

Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.

Ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees.

Knowledgeable of policies and procedures specific to operating room nursing.
