NATURE OF WORK Fairfield Memorial Hospital is looking for a compassionate, dedicated Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department who shares our commitment to exceptional patient care. The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care, coordinates care planning with other disciplines, and ensures optimal patient outcomes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Deliver direct patient care, including assessments, monitoring, and documentation.
Administer medications and IV therapies safely and effectively.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and follow‑up care.
Supervise and orient Emergency Department Technicians and new staff.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control practices.
Participate in performance improvement initiatives and provide quarterly updates on departmental action plans.
40.00 per hour + Shift Differential (Weekday Night: $3.00 per hour; Weekend: $4.00 per hour)

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Illinois, Current BLS Certification.
EXPERIENCE Required: Minimum of three (3) years RN experience.
Minimum of 18 months of acute/critical care or Emergency Department experience.
SKILLS Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, triage, IV therapy, and emergency procedures
Ability to collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Commitment to patient safety, infection control, and departmental standards
