Paramedic Ambulance/ER

We are seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians for ongoing locum coverage in Kirksville, Missouri. This is a travel assignment at a regional Level III Trauma Center with a relatively low-volume, medium-acuity Emergency Department.

Approximately 12,000 annual ED visits

Medium-acuity patient population

Approximately 10% admission rate

Certified Chest Pain Center

Specialized stroke and chest pain intervention services

Helipad available for critical air ambulance transfers

EMR: EDIF Medhost

Clinical Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat emergency department patients

Manage a broad range of emergency medicine presentations

Stabilize and coordinate higher-acuity transfers when necessary

Provide care within a Level III Trauma setting

Requirements

MD or DO

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine

Active Missouri medical license preferred

DEA required

Ideal Candidate

A BC/BE Emergency Medicine Physician interested in consistent 12-hour shifts and approximately 12 shifts per month in a medium-acuity Emergency Department with Level III Trauma capabilities.
